A few new additions & setting up a vintage cooperative

Just in the process of adding a few new additions to the vintage shop. I have been busy trying to tweek the design of the front page and interior pages but came to a crashing halt when my modem went kaput, so while I was offline I used the current sunshine we have here and photographed a few more items to upload. I love this purple hat, I would have snatched it for myself but it doesn't fit me as I have a teeny head with a bird brain, as with the chinese coat too, which is also too large a size for me personally darn it! I've also been out and about scouting for a shop premises and have potentially found a couple of options in a beautiful quintessential Somerset village. I am now on the lookout for other vintage traders to come on board with me as a vintage cooperative, so if you live in Somerset & sell vintage related items or crafts and are looking for a showroom space, then get in touch. I'll hopefully have a variety of flexible spaces to offer. Wonderful 60

Weldons patterns & small changes

Well here's a quickie update after being offline for so long. I've tweeked the main website main page and at some point the rest of the site will follow in suit, I want it to look fresher than it does, but it's hard work not being a web designer and takes ages too. While I was out today, I met up with Sue from The Dairy House Antiques for a welcome coffee, teacake & a chat about units and vacant shop premises, I managed to pick up a few more Weldons paper vintage dressmaking patterns. These three pictured above all come with embroidery templates to add extra detailing to your blouse once you've made it, but of course you could also use the templates to add a lovely design to anything as an added bonus. I'll be uploading to the site soon, but if you'd fancy one then please just let me know. Toodlepip.

Vintage Jewellery, pretty buttons & a dilema

I picked up some lovely vintage buttons and brooches recently, here's a sample taster of what will be appearing at the online shop soon, or even at a fair if I ever manage to book myself in for one. Or.... if I manage to decide which shop unit to go for. I've been offered a place in either Yeovil or Castle Cary and I just can't make up my mind. Help.... where would you prefer to come and visit my shop - suggestions please?  Very pretty mother of pearl art deco design I love these green bakerlite trifoil shaped buttons Small little metal navy buttons This is an unusual metal button of a griffin or phoenix This is the Chinese new Year symbol for this year, the water Dragon, hopefully it might bring some luck with it, as red is the Chinese lucky colour for prosperity Gorgeous and stylish faux pearls in a bunch of grapes on a gold coloured leafy base All the above are for sale
