New Monthly Vintage & Flea Market in Castle Cary, Somerset

  Vintage Vampalicious is organising a new monthly antiques, vintage and flea market in Castle Cary at the refurbished Market House, starting from April 12th 10.30 - 3.30, and then every second Sunday of the month following. Some of the lovely items you'll find will be; vintage and antique textiles, clothing for men and women from Victorian up to 1980s, art deco lighting, collectibles, mid-century, shabby chic, vintage print and literature..... and much more. Castle Cary is a lovely small country town which still maintains it's historic charm as a South Somerset medieval market town. So far we've managed to escape the influx of high street shops and the town is filled with independant boutiques, gallery's, gift shops, antiques and vintage tea rooms and pubs....

Eek I'm going for it full time

Eeeeek, nervous as a wibbly thing. I have thrown all caution to the wind and have decided to go full time self-employed selling vintage gear as Vampalicious, so please be kind and buy lots from me.  I've booked myself into my first proper vibtage fair at Sherborne, Digby Hall this Saturday, so come & have a browse & say hello. I've also been making progress in finding a shop unit and have narrowed my hunt down to a little spot in either Castle Scary or Langport, both are quite tempting at the moment, so I'm not sure which I'll opt for just yet. When I have decided I'll be offering dress agency services for good quality vintage glamourous clothes as well as selling my own hand picked items, so if you are local and have something gorgous you'd like to sell via my shop then please get in touch. I so need a camera

Well if I had a camera that worked, I'd be photographing the massive pile of vintage fabrics and 70's evening dresses I've just collected. To say they're fab' would be an understatement,  I think I probably have enough stuff now to do a stall somewhere, so I shall be on the lookout for vintage fairs to participate in, if you hear of any near me then please let me know. Sadly the Babcary Vintage & Crafts was a one-off event, the committee have said I can't do another one in the village. Now winter is getting closer and it's going to be another harsh one allegedly, I still have this absolutely stunning wolf fur coat in my collection, it's a beautiful emerald green with silk lining all handmade by an Italian designer from Rome.  The coat was actually made for Sophia Loren's sister, but she decided she didn't want it, so the lady who bought it straight from the designer in the 80's has put it in the Vampalicious collection for sale. ...
